“Pleasantly surprised, cozy, comfortable, clean, homely and value for money boutique hotel”
Didn't know what to expect from a boutique hotel. It was the first time i have ever stayed in a boutique hotel and i must say that i was pleasantly surprised. Located at just a stone's throw away from the famous Toul Sleng Museum, The ChangiVille is surrounded by various NGOs and foreign organiations. I was greeted warmly by staff at the entrance and was escorted to my room with attached bathroom.
Big room with fan and airconditioner and large cupboards. The room is good for at least 3 persons. Very clean, bright and airy... The food is also good with personalised service, i heard that the local chef had training in Singapore. The feeling is like home with cozy and comfortable living room, garden and lots of greens and fruit trees. This place changed my opinion about boutique hotel but i guess such good ones are hard to come by.
“Very comfortable boutique hotel in Phnom Penh”
We were checking out hotels in Phnom Penh to stay for 4 nights in early Nov 2008 when we chanced on the brochure for Changiville at an airline office. This is a small - 4 bedroom hotel run by some enterprising Singaporeans with a mission.
We checked it out and found that the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and at a price that is about half that of equivalent, more commercial hotels like Holiday Villa and Asia Hotel.
Don't expect much facilities except for a quiet and cosy stay. It is also easy to find and give directions to the cab or tuk tuk driver as it is about 50m from the infamous Touls Slang genocide museum.
Breakfast is not included in the price, but you can order eggs, bee hoon and bread from the small kitchen. Their coffee is one of the best in the city (if you've tried the P street coffee).
Rates are US$25 for an airconditioned twin room, US$35 for the larger room and US$15 for the small room without airconditioning. Rooms come with a TV. Internet service available at the office for a fee.
